(Taken from Address by Rev. Fulton Sheen, back in 1934. He saw what was coming but did not seem to know it would happen to us via a false Council.)
The great characteristic of our age is not its love of religion, but its love of talking about religion. Even those who would smite God from the heavens make a religion out of their irreligion, and a faith out of their doubt. On all sides - from a thousand pens, a hundred microphones, scores of university rostrums - we have heard it repeated, until our very heads reel, that the "acids of modernity" have eaten away the old faith and the old morality, and that the modern man must have a new religion to suit the new spirit of the age.
This new religion, we are told, must be absolutely different from anything that ever existed before. It must be just as fresh and modern as the brilliant age in which we live, with its new hopes, new visions, and new dreams. When we inquire diligently into the characteristics of this new religion, we are told it must be social, it must be political, it must be worldly.
By social they mean it must dedicate itself, not to the illusory pursuit of the spirit, but to the practical needs of the body. The religious man of the new era will be the one who gives bread to hungry stomachs, clothes to naked backs, and roofs to unsheltered heads. Better milk for babies, better play grounds for children, better bread for the poor - these, and not faith, grace, and sacraments, are the things on which man lives; and that religion which gives these social necessities is the religion of the future.
Next, we are told that the new religion must be political, and by that is meant that it should cease talking about the Kingdom of God and begin talking about the republics of earth. All its energies and zeal must be directed to support governmental policies such as liquor control, gold standards, and labor codes; there must be a swing away from the stress on eternity, prayers, and the communion of saints; for the world problems in need of a solution are not religious, but economic and political.
The final characteristic of the new cult will be its worldliness. Too long, we are told, has religion emphasized responsibility to God, and dwelt on duties to Him, instead of service to our fellowmen. The new religion has no time for the thought of responsibility to God, for the modern man, George Bernard Shaw tells us, is too busy to think about his sins. It makes man the master of all he surveys, the lord of his own life and therefore one who may shuffle off by his own hand if he chooses; for who is there who will dare say Nay?
Now let us ask the new prophets: How old is their new religion? Is it really a new thing or is it merely an old error with a new label? Let us go back two thousand years to the Eternal Galilean and learn not only that the new religion is just an old temptation, but also that resistance to it is the pledge and promise of Life Everlasting.
Go back to the picture of Our Blessed Lord as He stood in the untenanted wilderness which stretches southward from Jericho to the Dead Sea. There His forerunner John, with bronzed countenance, unshorn locks, leather girdle, and mantle of camel's hair, whose drink was the water of the river and whose food was locusts and wild honey, saw the
heavens open and the Spirit of God descend in dovelike radiance over his Master's Head, as there rang out over the Jordan river a voice which to unpurged ears was like thunder: "Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased." Thus Christ's first public act of self-abasement, in coming to John to be baptized, was followed by the first solemn declaration by the Father that He was the Son of God. Because He humbled Himself, God the Father exalted Him.
With the waters still dripping from His noble head, Our Lord went out into the solitude to put a desert between Himself and humanity. For forty years the Jewish people wandered in the desert before entering into the kingdom promised by God. For forty days Moses remained close to God to receive His law on tablets of stone. And now, before announcing His Kingdom, to which Moses and the chosen people had pointed, Our Blessed Saviour retires for forty days into the lonely mountains where no human face was to be seen and where no human voice was to be heard. And after forty days of fasting He was tempted by Satan. Tempted He could be, for He had taken the armour of human flesh, not for idleness, but for battle. Oh! Do not mock the Gospels and say there is no Satan. Evil is too real in the world to say that. Do not say the idea of Satan is dead and gone. Satan never gains so many cohorts, as when, in his shrewdness, he spreads the rumor that he is long since dead. Do not reject the Gospel because it says the Saviour was tempted. Satan always tempts the pure - the others are already his. Satan stations more devils on monastery walls than in dens of iniquity, for the latter offer no resistance. Do not say it was absurd that Satan should appear to Our Lord, for Satan must always come close to the godly and the strong - the others succumb from a distance.
But in what did Satan tempt Christ? Here is the remarkable side of that temptation, and one which has a bearing on our own day.
Satan tempted Our Blessed Lord to preach another religion than that which He was about to preach. Our Lord was about to preach a divine religion. Satan tempted Him to preach a religion that was not divine, but the religion which the modern world calls new: a religion which would be social, political, and worldly.
Satan first tempted Our Lord to make religion social: to make it center about the materialities of life, such as bread for starving bodies like His own. Pointing from the top of the mountain to the stones whose shapes resembled little loaves of bread, he said: "Command that these stones be made bread." It was Satan's challenge to God to make religion center around the materialities of life. But the answer of Our Blessed Lord was immediate: "Not in bread alone doth man live, but in every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God." By that response, Our Lord declared that religion is not social, in the sense that its primary function is to give food to the body, but rather divine in the sense that it must give food to the soul. Men must have bread! There is no disputing that point. Our Lord taught us to ask the Father to "give us this day our daily bread"; He even went so far, when men were in dire need of it in the desert places, to multiply bread even to excess. But beyond that He told the thousands at Capharnaum He would not go. "You seek me ... because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth unto life everlasting." Religion then is not purely social.
If salvation were only economic relief, if religion were only to give bread to hungry stomachs, then dogs would be invited to its banquet. No! Man has a higher principle than that of the beasts, and a higher life than that of the body. We come into this world not just to sit and rest, to work and play, to eat and drink. Hence that religion which would make the procuring of bread its chief object in life, and would seek no divine food, would starve with hunger in the midst of plenty - and that is why modern religion is dying. There must come dark hours when God must be trusted, even in hunger. There must even come moments in starvation when bread must be refused, if it means the sacrificing of a principle that endangers the soul.
The earthly, the human and the social are part of religion, but not primary, as Satan would have us believe. Rather in searching for higher things, do we find the lower: "Seek ye therefore the kingdom of God, and His justice, and all these things will be added unto you."
Satan next tempted Our Lord to make religion political by exchanging the Kingdom of God for the kingdoms of earth. "And the devil ... showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And he said to him: To thee will I give all this power, and the glory of them; for to me they are delivered, and to whom I will, I give them. If thou therefore will adore before me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answering said to him: It is written: Thou shalt adore the Lord thy God, and him only shalt then serve." By this answer Our Lord declared to all future ages that religion is not politics, that patriotism is not the highest virtue, that nationalism is not the highest worship, and that the State is not the highest god. Devotion to the State there must be; loyalties to the kingdoms of earth there must be; tribute to Caesar there must be. Man is social, and living in society he must govern and be governed; he must be a patriot not only by supporting the just policies of those who rule, but even to the extent of laying down his life in just warfare for the common good. These things are self-evident. But Satan would have Christ adore the kingdoms of earth, convert the pulpit into a platform, and the Gospel into a national anthem. Our Lord would have us know that earthly kingdoms are but scaffoldings to the Kingdom of Heaven, that patriotism towards country is but the nursery to the adoration of God, and that it profits us nothing if we gain the whole world and lose our immortal soul. Politics and religion are related something like the body and the soul. Both have their rights and their duties, but one is superior to the other. The primary concern of religion, then, is not the rehabilitation of the kingdoms of earth; for Our Lord came not to restore the politics of the world but to make a new Kingdom which needs neither armies nor navies, soldiers nor monies, slaves nor judges, but only renewed and living souls. I repeat, He did not say religion must not be concerned with social injustice or with political graft.
Our Lord loved His own country so deeply and warmly that, as the first Christian patriot, He wept over it. But he also loved the Kingdom of Heaven so much more that He was willing to be put to death by the very country that He loved. While time endures, Satan will always tempt religion to be wholly political, but until the end of time the due order must be preserved: "Render therefore to Caesar, the things that are Caesars; and to God, the things that are God's."
Satan's last assault was an effort to make religion worldly. The Gospel tells us Satan "brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and he said to him: If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself from hence. For it is written that "He hath given His angels charge over thee, that they shall keep thee:" And that in "their hands they shall bear thee up, lest perhaps thy dash thy foot against a stone." And Jesus answering said to him: It is said: "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." What a lesson is hidden in that answer for those who would make religion worldly by emptying it of all responsibility and by making God merely a passive spectator of our falls and our suicides. The plea to cast Himself down from the pinnacle was not a sign of trust in God, but disbelief in God. It was an appeal, not to a natural appetite, but to a perverted pride which assumes that God is indifferent to our actions and disinterested in our decisions. The answer of Our Lord was a reminder that religion centers about responsible persons, and not about falling bodies; that man is endowed with free will and is therefore responsible for each of his actions down even to the least; and that the universe in which he lives is moral, and therefore one in which we mount by making our dead selves stepping stones to higher things. That worldly religion which denies responsibility, sin, and judgment, would reduce us all to mere stones falling from the giddy heights of stony pinnacles; it would make us merely material bodies obeying the law of gravitation which pulls us to the earth, instead of spiritual beings which, like fire, mount up beyond the stars to the Light of the World. Real religion does not say: "Cast thyself down", but "lift thyself up"; for we are destined not to be stones of earth, but immortal Children of God Heaven and not the world is our final destiny. And so, instead of casting Himself down like a cheap and vulgar magician, Our Lord casts Satan down, and then goes out to another mountain top to give from its heights the Beatitudes of God, which lead to beatitude with God in the everlasting glory of heaven.
Thus the so-called new religion proves to be an old religion which Satan would establish on earth. There is no new birth in this new faith, but the same old spirit in the same old Adam, full of selfishness, envy, and sin. By vanquishing temptation the Eternal Galilean has trumpeted to all nations and to all time the supreme truth that religion is not primarily social, or political, or worldly. Rather its function is to minister Divine Life to society, Divine Justice to politics, and Divine Forgiveness to the worldly. The world today is really seeking such a divine religion and is near starvation, as modern sects bring to it only the husks of humanism. The minds of today are beginning to see that our problems are not primarily economic and political, but religious and moral; that society will not and cannot be reformed from without, but only from within. It is only by the spirit of Christ and the spirit of prayer that the freedom of man, won by bloodshed and national sacrifice, can be safeguarded and preserved. The shattering of our material illusions during the World War and during the present economic recession has made the clear-visioned minds of our day see that apostasy from the principles of the Saviour, the abandonment of the spiritual life, and the transgression of the commandments of God, have led of necessity to our ruin and confusion worse confounded.
There is hope for us, and a glorious hope it is, in the Victory of Christ over Satan. By permitting the Prince of Darkness to tempt Him, even though it was wholly exterior and did not touch His sinless soul, He proved that He is not insensible to our difficulties, our sorrows, and our temptations. We cannot say to Him what Satan said to God about Job: "But put forth thy hand, and touch his bone and his flesh, and then thou shalt see that he will bless thee to thy face." Our Lord does know what it is to be tempted away from divinity and the primacy of the spirit; His bones, His flesh, were touched unto scourging and crucifixion, and His answer was greater than Job's. Job answered: "The Lord gave, the Lord taketh away, so praise be the Lord." But the Saviour answered: "Not my will, but shine be done." Our King then is One Who knows what it is to have His armor assailed by temptation for, in the language of Paul: "We have not a high priest, who cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but one tempted in all things like as we are, without sin.
Let us go therefore with confidence to the throne of grace: that we may obtain mercy, and find grace in seasonable aid." In Him we will find One Who feeds us not on earthly bread which perishes, but on the heavenly manna which endures unto life everlasting; in Him we find One Who vanquishes Satan, who would have us exchange an immortal soul for the perishable cities of the world; in Him we find One Who asks us, not Satan-like, to cast ourselves down as stones from temples, but to lift ourselves up as souls into heaven. He was born to change the world, to make its religion unworldly, its worship divine, and its food the Eucharist; He lived to teach us that life is a struggle, and that only those who persevere unto the end shall be saved; He was tempted to remind us that as there was a flash of archangelic spears when His Father closed the gates of heaven on the back of Satan, so shall there be a flash of spears and arrows of heaven-directed prayer as His Church closes the gates of earth upon him who would make himself like unto God; for Christ, the King, the Saviour, was born, lived, and died, and rose to drive Satan from earth as His Father had driven him from heaven.
Moved by these thoughts and by the example of our predecessors, we have deemed it very opportune to prescribe solemn prayers at this time, with a view to invoking the august Virgin through the recitation of the Rosary in order to obtain from her Son Jesus Christ help proportionate to our needs.
You see, Venerable Brothers, the grave trials to which the Church is daily exposed: Christian piety, public morality, even Faith itself, the highest good and the principle of all the other virtues, are threatened every day with the greatest dangers.
Not only do you know how difficult is our situation and how much we suffer from it, but your charity has even made you experience and share the anguish with us. Now one of the most painful and saddest things is to see so many souls redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ snatched from salvation by the whirlwind of a misguided Age and hurled into the abyss and eternal death. Our need of Divine help is as great today as when the great Dominic raised the banner of Mary's Rosary to heal the evils of his age. This great saint, enlightened from on high, clearly sensed that to cure his age, no remedy would be more efficacious than the one which, through frequent meditation on our redemption, would bring men back to Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life, and would urge them to have recourse to that Virgin, their advocate before God, to whom it is given to destroy all heresies.
St. Dominic composed the Rosary in such a way that the mysteries of our salvation are recalled to mind in succession. This method of meditation is interspersed and, as it were, interlaced with the Hail Mary and with the prayer to God the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We who are seeking for a remedy for similar evils have the right to believe that, by using the same prayer used by St. Dominic to accomplish so much good in the Catholic world, we, too, will see the calamities of our times disappear.
Not only do we earnestly urge all Christians to apply themselves to this holy exercise of the Rosary, whether in public or in their homes and with their families and unceasingly so, but we desire that the month of October this year be especially consecrated to the holy Queen of the Rosary.
Venerable Brothers, let us then settle down to work! The more you have Mary's honor and the salvation of human society at heart, the more ought you to strive to nourish the piety of the people toward the great Virgin and to increase their confidence in her. We believe it to be part of the designs of divine Providence that in these times of trial for the Church the ancient veneration of the august Virgin should flourish more than ever in the great majority of the Christian people. May the Christian nations, roused by our exhortations and inflamed by your appeals, now seek the protection of Mary with an ever-increasing daily ardor. May they become more and more attached to the custom of reciting the Rosary, to that cult which our ancestors were in the habit of practicing, not only as an ever-ready remedy for their evils, but as a symbol of Christian piety.
The heavenly Patroness of the human race will hear these prayers and supplications, and will easily confer on the good the favor of seeing their virtues increase, on the erring the favor of returning to righteousness and of entering again into the way of SALVATION. She will bring it about that God, the avenger of crime, will be disposed towards clemency and mercy, will remove all dangers from the CHRISTIAN WORLD AND SOCIETY, and will restore the peace so greatly desired.
On each one of you, Venerable Brothers, and on your clergy and people, as an earnest of God's mercy and a mark of our affection, We, lovingly in the Lord, bestow the Apostolic Benediction. +
PRAYERS OF PETITION ANSWERED: (Publication Promised)
NOTICE OF THANKSGIVING POSTED:
Care of St. Anthony St. Pius X, Pope and Confessor 9 3 1996 ________________________________________________________________
Thank you for conveying the following request to the Queen of Heaven: "Dear Blessed Mother, Ever Virgin Mary and Mother of God, Please ask your Divine Son to hear my poor prayers."
"Dear Jesus, Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, The Word Made Flesh, True God and True Man, and our Redeemer. Please, please grant my humble prayers. Thy will be done."
My prayers were granted. I promised publication and nine rosaries in thanksgiving.
A grateful client of Our Lady of the Rosary and of St. Philomena.
TV CHANNEL EWTN:
Forgive me for overlooking my subscription payment last fall, so I am enclosing a double plus cost for some little booklets, I hope you still have. I want the Execrabilis Booklet.
Up to date I have not heard you mention the "TV Channel EWTN." They are getting a lot of mileage out of our beautiful Catholic Faith. Although we have only had this channel since April, I have only heard two people call in with the necessary sharp direct criticism, as should come from any True Catholic. It is something to think about. Why not prepare some pointed questions to them. However, I have a feeling the calls are all screened. What amazes me - is they all still claim Eucharistic Miracles even though we know there is NO DIVINE PRESENCE in the "novus ordo" Masonic performance.
"Mother Angelica's" Alabama Convent & "Mass" is really doctored up for a "facade" to attract unsuspecting poor lost sheep.
Many of the charming and sincere sounding Catholics on EWTN would turn on you if you told them the truth. That is odd, for they advise viewers to "defend and stand up for the truth" especially Mother Angelica!
Keep up the good work and may God Bless you. E.G, MI.

LEAVE ALL TO THE LORD:
My "support" donation for blessings & Graces received. My eye operation did not bring back full sight, but I thank God for what I have. All of my family are in the "new church" and lets me alone from them.
I did not know how involved they are until the terrible car-accident and the deaths. It was a shock for me. However, I went to the funerals. The new churches have a different seating than ours. The seats are semi-circle and look Down on the table. The Priest used to go UP to the Altar of God. These are the days when you learn to leave every thing up to the Lord. The great grandson injured in the accident will be coming home in 2 weeks. He lost the sight in one eye and still has a little trouble walking alone. He is a miracle. His time is not yet.
My friend clipped this item from the paper for me. The news people are writing about a coming election of a new Pope. This election is one to watch. It will be rigged like the other one. It seems that Father Andrew Greeley of Chicago has written a book on the matter, "White Smoke." It seems that the bishops are in fear that the laity will be telling them what to do in the Conciliar Church. They will call it "Catholic" but it is the reverse of what Christ founded as His One Church.
They are having a rock concert at our Lady of the Snows Grotto in Illinois.
Thanking you again for your work for us out here ... we need you more than ever.
The banks are consolidating faster. We are headed for the One World Bank.
Good time to do it, while every one is talking about the election and not really seeing what is going on around them. Unbelievable how stupid the people have become.
Well, Pray the Rosary, watch with Jesus Mary Joseph each day. God bless you and yours always. E.G., MO.

"MORE THAN A WORK OF ART":
I am a new subscriber from PA. I enclose part of an article in regards the difference of holding up art as the most impressive part of a Church. In the Catholic Church when we had the True Priests Offering the Divine Sacrifice ... it was Our Lord Himself, the Divine Presence that made all the difference. A Cardinal pointed out this fact. He said, "Without a sovereign Priest Offering before and for his people, St. Peter's is but a grand aggregation of chapels, tombs, and works of art. With the Priest it becomes a whole, a single peerless whole." Before the Council the Catholic church was indeed never empty, and there fore never impressed us as a mere museum of art. But it is only when it is filled with a vast throng bowed in adoration before the Altar that the glowing glass and the aspiring arch, the solemn music and the aureoled saints seem to be speaking an intelligible language, proclaiming aloud the glory that men below are worshipping in silence and bodying forth, faintly but definitely, the grandeur of that other "temple not made with hands, eternal in the heavens," where other throngs bow down before this self-same Eternal Sacrifice of the Lamb of God. There is nothing so piercing, so thrilling, so overcoming, as the Mass ... it is not a mere form of words - it is a great Action, the greatest Action that can be on earth. It is not the invocation merely, but the evocation of the Eternal. "Hosanna to the Son of David." This is the significance of a Pontifical Mass. It was not an empty ritual or idle pageant, but the outward splendor and majesty with which the liturgy did clothe an ineffably solemn and holy Reality. E.M., PA.

TO MARY, THE VICTORY: GEN 3:15
Enclosed is my renewal. I marvel at the way JP2 plays up Mary with a little heresy here and there - thrown into his talks. So few notice or attempt to correct him.
These Fatima "clubs" also make me wonder ... What do they think Mary is doing while all these heresies grow like weeds? For myself, I find consolation in Gen 3:15, for the Victory is to be hers. By the Power God has given her, Mary will: "Crush the serpent." Through Christ, she has already crushed Satan's head. Now he waits for her heel. Carry on. In JMJ ... V.G., Ind.

FIGHT FOR THE FAITH:
Thank you for your many news clips, your sub-renewals and support donations. Thank you for writing in defense of the Faith. Satan is out on the prowl for souls, has gotten into the Vatican. We have a clip from Canada where a reporter says: "Catholicism has collapsed and has left a void that remains unfulfilled." Christ's religion has not collapsed and Satan, a mere creature, will never win. As members of the Church Militant, let us show God our love by defending the Faith. Let us fight by the Will of God; by the Grace of God and by the Power of God. Amen. Father Editor & Staff
"The coming of a world state is longed for, and confidently expected, by all the worst and most distorted elements. This state, based on the principles of absolute equality of men and a community of possessions, would banish all national loyalties. In it no acknowledgement would be made of the authority of a father over his children, or of God over human society. If these ideas are put into practice, there will inevitably follow a reign of unheard-of terror."
The above words are those of Pope Benedict XV on July 25, 1920 (66 years ago). They refer, of course, to a One-World Government which was even then, and long before, in the making and of which the United Nations is the predecessor. And so also has a One-World Church been long since in the making. In recent years the development of that "Church" has become increasingly manifest, in large part as a consequence of the powerful impetus given to it by the Conciliar "Catholic" Church. The "ecumenical spirit" and the heresy of religious indifferentism and the false doctrine of religious liberty preached and practiced by the Conciliar Church have made an incalculable contribution towards the formation of the One-World Church.
The foremost contributor, to be sure, is the charismatic and ubiquitous John Paul II. By his words and actions around the world over the past eight years he may well have done more to advance the cause of a One-World Church than any other individual. The latest and perhaps the most substantial and far-reaching step in that direction to date was the meeting, convened by John Paul II, of the heads of the world's religions in Assisi, Italy, on October 27, 1986.
The One-World Church will be aligned with the One-World Government (with both being a part of the New World Order) and totally subservient to that government. It will bear no resemblance to any Church in the historical sense of the term. It will be a godless, amoral, man-centered monstrosity whose "religion" will be that of secular humanism. All worship of the true God will be outlawed and every effort will be made to eradicate belief in Him from the mind of man. The observance of the moral law of God will likewise be abolished. The state or government will be "God" and right and wrong will be what the state says it is. If anyone will not conform and belong to this "religion" he will pay the horrible price in one way or another, Communist style.
Such is the idea of what is in store for humanity if the promoters of the One-World Church accomplish their satanic objective. Towards the realization of this "Church" the "top brass" of Freemasonry and Communism has been working for many years - and, in recent years, the New Age Movement. Merely by substituting "world church" for "world state," the words of Pope Benedict XV at the beginning of this article could apply verbatim to the One-World Church.
If a One-World Church materializes in the not-too-distant future, as it may, surely this will be a crowning victory for the satanic forces of evil on the world scene. What more powerful incentive, then, do we traditional Roman Catholics need to go all out in defense of our beloved Church and God-given Faith and to oppose and to expose to the best of our ability such evil individuals and organizations as those involved in the formation of this One-World Church?
To destroy the Roman Catholic Church, make no mistake about it, has long been their pernicious objective and consuming desire. But we traditional Roman Catholics are all that remain of that Church today. Nor is there the slightest doubt but that we will be the prime targets for persecution and extermination by the "one worlders" if and when their nightmarish objectives become a reality. Regardless, whatever the future may hold in store for us, may we, by the grace of God, stand loyal and true to our glorious Faith until death! "I know not what the future holds but I know Who holds the future." +
MOTHER OF GOD: We place all these Conciliar woes into thy powerful hands. Pray for us all, lest we perish in the wrath of Divine Justice.

BOMB IN BASILICA:
LA ROCHE-SUR-YON, France (AP) - A parish priest found what experts said Tuesday was a home-made bomb in the basilica of a church that Pope John Paul will visit this month.
The bomb was discovered Monday in a crypt of the St. Laurent-sur-Sevre church in La Roche-sur-Yon in France's western Brittany region.
The device was hidden near the foot of a tomb holding the remains of Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort, one of two 18th-century French clerics the pope plans to honor on his Sept. 19-22 visit.
Beneath the bomb was an inscription in a garbled mixture of Latin and French - "in nomine pape poum," or "in the name of the pope, boom."
Experts described the bomb as a "crude pyrotechnical device" and said it had been planted sometime over the weekend. Bomb disposal experts defused it, and no one was injured.
Authorities said it was powerful enough to have caused "significant damage."

ISLAMIC COURT PROHIBITS PORN FILMS, FOLK DANCES:
The Islamic court that sets the moral tone in northern Mogadishu has banned pornographic films and traditional dancing and warned men to grow beards. Sheikh Ali Sheikh Mohamud, chairman of the Islamic Court, said performances featuring traditional dances were banned because "the folklore women dance and shake their bodies wildly ... and it is not good for the new generations."

NEW YORK:
Governor Pataki is requesting that advertisements from a "messianic Jewish" group that have blanketed subways and bus stops throughout New York be banned because they are offensive.
The governor made the request after Agudath Israel President Rabbi Moshe Sherer brought up the issue with in a recent meeting. The ads, most of which are part of the campaign by the missionary group Jews for Jesus, have targeted Jewish neighborhoods with messages like "Be More Jewish ... Believe in Jesus."
While missionary campaigns l directed at Jews have vexed the Jewish community for years, Mr. Pataki's request represents the first attempt by a government official to restrict their scope. This summer, in the wake of the Southern Baptist resolution pledging to convert Jews, missionary organizations such as Jews for Jesus have mounted their most aggressive efforts yet against the Jewish community.

That was in the year of Our Lord 496 AD when King Clovis was Baptized and thus marked French history as the oldest daughter of the Church. However, in 1905 the Masonic influence in France brought about the total separation of Church/State. Now, would have been a perfect time for JP2 to mention "the two swords" of Church and State explained so well by a Real Pope ... Pope Boniface VIII, with his "UNAM SANCTAM." But Charlie did not do that. Oh, no. Instead, JP2 talked to Chirac about the 1962-65 False Council's changing ways with "the right to freedom for all Religions."!!! Charlie plugged "dialogue for solidarity" ... "a concert of nations" ... "respect for cultures and religions". You would think you were hearing "The War With Temptation" all over again ... from Satan's point of view. President Chirac is seen in the picture ... looking very quizzical at JP2. JP2 is claiming that the Church's mission is "service" Ä which is untrue. Christ founded His One Church as His Kingdom on Earth; as the Supreme Teacher of the Way, Truth, and Everlasting Life. Faith, Hope, and Charity took a beating ... as JP2 spoke of human rights but not of Christ's Rights. Charlie has also been invited to France for next year when France will be hosting the coming 1997 World Youth Day in Paris. Charlie gave no talk on the side of conversions. He spoke on "development" which means more changes for the future! The strange part of the Sept. visit to France is the odd attitude shown by many "Catholic" papers. Their stories made it look like JP2 is a real Pontiff who sticks by the Traditional Teachings of the One Church. But this is untrue. To merely read JP2 will tell a different story. True, he is a "slick Willie" in how he touts Satan's "new" old "religion" but it is there: the false Council's brain-washing techniques. It certainly reveals that France like other countries throughout the world is divided now between the Believing Catholics who yearn for the True Mass and Sacraments once again and those Worldlings who have sopped-up the Humanist garbage of Satan and his Soul-less "new" old religion of Paganism. However, it is the Protestants in France who are leading the protests of JP2's arrival in France. They are pretending that the 1962-65 has nothing to do with their arguments! The good-news is that Faithful Catholics are taking a more prominent place in their complaints against JP2 and the false Council. Now if they would only acquaint themselves with EXECRABILIS which put an immediate INTERDICT upon the whole world because of the False Council ... then we would all get somewhere. The French might even realize that THE TIME OF THE GENTILES IS OVER. In that case, now what? Good question. The TRUTH shall set you Free, says the Lord God. We note that JP2 is now revealed at last as an embarrassment to Catholics and a contradiction to the world. "Come Sweet Jesus, Come." Amen.
